Viva España

The Spain national team has won the UEFA European Championship (Euros). This will be Spain's 4th Euros victory. This was a dominant tournament for Spain. They looked like the best team throughout the whole tournament. 

Much of their success goes to 16 year old Lamine Yamal. It is extraordinary to have a 16 year old be one of if not your best players throughout the tournament. Spain were the victors over England  in the final with a score of 2-1. 

I thought I would write about this for my love of soccer. I watched as many of the games as I could throughout the tournament. While Spain is not who I was rooting for at the beginning, it was hard to root against them after watching their fabulous play in the early stages of the tournament. 

Luckily for me, the Olympics is next which means even more soccer. While these games will be nowhere near as competitive, the young players for each nation will be able to shine. Who knows, maybe Spain can gain back to back tournament wins.
